recording

ive checked every forum known to man and i just cant find the answer. im hoping someone can break down to me so i can get it right. i have an mpc2000xl,motif rack,digi 002 rack,m-audio controller,and a yamaha mixer. the question is why that when i try to record into pro tools all that it is reading is the midi from the controller and not the mpc. the mpc is the master so i just dont get it. any feedback will be much appreciated.

you trying to record midi or audio. hook each device up (digi). set the mpc to master. protools to slave. record that shit. obviously u need to toy with the protools settings if it recording midi data into tracks.

Is there any sort of LED on the Digi 002 to indicate that sound is going into it? As long as you have samples in the MPC & you have the audio output connected to an audio input on the Digi 002 there isn't really anything more that needs to be done with settings on the MPC. You need to look into settings for Pro Tools or the Digi 002.

Is the Digi 002 set as the default audio input on your computer?
