1.Ok guys, so this is what's up: I've bought a alesis i02 audio interface and a couple of xlr/midi cables. so now what i want to do basically is be able to use a plug-in(e.g. mini-monsta) or a DAW(e.g.FL9) and sample sounds to the mpc. I've seen other dudes do this, but they didnt explain it. so now i've got a minimal idea on my connections so both my midi cables are connected like MIDI IN on the mpc and MIDI OUT on the interface and vice-versa. Next, i tried to connect the mpc to FL9 now its not working but a couple hours before it was although the mpc was not still being able to sample sounds played on FL9(such as bass) and was instead being used as a midi controller.
2.what about the audio connections because i've got a set of bose speakers which are from a friend of mine and it only has one cable to connect to the pc/mpc so to use the mpc i just connect it to the phones entry. But now that i got a audio interface i dont know wether to plug it in the audio interface or leave it connected to the mpc.
Oh, and please dont be rude as Im just starting to set up my own home studio. Im still missing Studio Monitors and a turntable which i will get next week maybe and it would be great if I got the basics connected so then it would be easier to set everything up at last. Thank you!
