NEED HELP!

i just got some memory for my mpc 2000xl...i am trying to open it right now and i am having trouble..i took out the 4 side screws..and the 5 in the back...but the cover wont totally come off..suggestions?

You should only take out the screws on the bottom panel. The sides have nothing to do with instaling components such as RAM etc.
