put in the 8 outs, now frozen on "WAIT...."

I swapped out the 8 outs from an mpc2000 and now when i power up my 2000xl, it says "mpc200xl" then it reezes on "WAIT..."
can anyone help me with this?

Propably a bad connection, check that cables are properly fitted and that nothing has come loose (on the expansion card if the connecttion is mounted on the PCB).
