Mpc to computer

How do i get my beats via floppy disk to my computer so i can burn them onto a cd, keep in mind i cant do anything wit upgrading the computer wit a soundcard or anything because its our shitty family computer that will prolly crash if anythin gets installed.

i dont think pc's can read mpc floppy's. they can read zips though

well u cant do it like that u have to record da audio to yure cpu through the soundcard i dont see why it would crash if u installed it right but if u are worried about opening da cpu up soundblaster has a cheap usb soundcard($40) at best buy and its 24bit all u have to install is da drivers (and the recording program that comes wit it i think) and when u are not using it u can unplug it and put it up

Yes, lots of other companies do really basic USB soundcards: Edirol, M-Audio, Griffin, Belkin (I think)..... some are pretty much just stereo inputs on a little block one end & a USB plug on the other. You can then record straight from your MPC on the computer.

If you just want to get your samples & sequences into the computer on a floppy I guess just see if the PC will read an MPC floppy. I've just stuck an MPC floppy in a real old-school Mac Performa (12 years old now) & that read .wav, .snd, .pgm & midi files........it can't do anything with them apart from store them but it is worth knowing!!!

If that doesn't work see if you can save to a PC formatted floppy in your MPC.

If i were to buy a soundcard what program would i need to burn to cd... jus typical cd burning software. while i think about it wpould there be any cheap very basic software where i could just record acapellas over my beats?

The cheapest audio cd burning software is free...... iTunes....(you'll need the Windows version) or whatever the microsoft equivalent is.

Any tips on good Cables to get? Just plan on using them from my mpc out in to my cpu.

Any 1/4 audio cables will be fine.You can find them pretty cheap on the bay or through Guitar Center or Musicians' Friend.

are you able to hook a scsi cable from a pc to the mpc 2000 and load files that way?

No,because there aren't any drives avaible to load onto the pc for the mpc.
