With Akai's VERY steady downslide in quality control and inability to create reliable products in general, I doubt someone of his status would possibly ever want to partner with them again. If he does, Akai would benefit while he loses out. Just my 2, but he has his own ish going on, and it's better built than ANYTHING Akai has come out with recently...

its weak that akai doesn't really give us much to be proud of as far as their reputation because we all love their products. i love my mpc but i would love to see a new product that would make me get excitied (not a roland). maybe ill sell the 2xl and go for the 60.
