change sample pitch?

Is there any way to change the pitch of a sample but not change the length at all?
so if i had a girl singing, i could bring her voice up to a higher pitch but no make it go for 2 seconds instead of the original 5 seconds and sound like a chipmonk.
Im not sure if thats what i mean, but maybe i want to change the length and.... i jus dont want any chipmonk voices anyway.
is there anything on PC or on the MPC for this if you know what im talking about?

i went to the search engine on this site and and typed in "change and pitch"......still didn't find anything specific on changing pitch but not tune or length.
