Maybe a stupid question but.....

Has any one attempted to make some sort of adapter that takes the lcd ribbon cable and makes it a external vga adapter? I'm dying here without a screen and tryin my hardest to figure out a method of getting it to work

sorry buddy, i don't think its that easy.
all the info you need about replacing your screen should be on this forum already.
you might have to pay some $, or search real hard, but hey, if you think it should be easy or dirt cheap you are doing it wrong.

Don't expect free or even really cheap just can't afford 300 and trying every option to avoid it

Sell that thing for parts a buy a new one with a working screen.....
