unresponsive number buttons

Not the pads... These days, I have to push down on my shift and number buttons to get any kind of response. Which, of course, means I can't sample, trim or do anything else essential without a minor headache. It's annoying and it's slowing up my work flow. I don't have much experience beneath the hood of my MP- is it an issue I could deal with myself, say, with a can of compressed air, or could it be something else? Thanks for the help.

try taking it to a refrigerator repair shop, see how that works out.

this is the most basic fix on any mpc it only involves soldering 4 posts and removing/instaling the switch.. i can send you some switches for stupid cheap if you know how to solder i have dozens of them otherwise you should learn how to solder or prepare to spend a lot of unnecessary money shipping your machine out here to cali but best bet is to find a local eletronic tech shop and buy the switch from mpcstuff.com or ME lol i could even solder it for less than those shops if you send me just the board... something to think about pm me if youre interested in some switches or other parts...

he could just ship the pcb panel to you, it would be a lot cheaper

I'll endure the snide comments as long as I get some useful info... I don't know where y'all live, but ain't no 'MPC repair' shops in my neck of the woods.

I don't trust myself soldering, so I think I'll cop the parts from mpcstuff and struggle through a Japanese conversation at an electronics-related joint out here. thanx.
