Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By Peeblo Wed Apr 14, 2010 4:29 am
My MPC 2000XL will no longer draw wave forms. It was working fine and then one day I turned it on, took a sample, went to trim and it wouldn't draw up a wave form. I can still hear it and go in to zone and listen to individual parts but I can't see it. I tried again a few days later and it's still doing it. Is it the way I recorded it? How can I make it start drawing the wave again?

cant say I've heard that one before... try sampling some drums (like maybe a 2 second clip... not a very long one) and put the gain really high... what does that do? the same thing?

I am thinking 3 things... 1) the sample is recorded too low (i doubt you made that mistake) 2) the sample is not very high and is very long and the machine is having difficulty showing the waveform 3) you have an issue with the OS... so maybe try reinstalling it and check again.

post back what happens just in case other people have the problem.

Or you recorded stereo with the left channel actually not carrying any signal.

None of this has been helpful. I tried recording mono right but still no wave form.
