I dont know if anyone else has had this problem but why is it that everytime I go into trim mode....all of my sounds seem to be missing pieces to them. Like right now I sampled from my turntable and am going into trim mode to chop it up but the problem is that its hard because the full sampled sound doesnt appear just bits of it...does anyone have any info...thnx

As far as I know if you go to mpc 2000 trim mode screen , you select a zone , for example from position 0 to 121000 in a sample that is 130000 samples long and you select "cut", the part that is not highlited(from 121001 to 130000) will dissapear.
When you use the ZnEdit mode in trim screen than you can highlight a zone and then save it to a separate file, and the source sample will not dissapear as you just copied the zone to another file, and then you can go back to it and assign in PROGRAM mode to a pad.

is this what you are looking for?

Mmmm not really but thnx 4 trying, I mean like say you sample a 2 bar sample from your turntable to the MPC 2000XL. You want to chop it up so you hit shift and trim right. Now that 2 bar sample loads but with missing pieces on the screen which makes it hard to trim and chop it and pretty much edit it. The entire sample plays right but on the screen its sloppy and doesnt have all the sound on the trim screen...do u get me?

Didn't you hear him?? He said the sample is ok. Its just the screen that **** up. I dont know whats wrong with your machine. Its a strange behaviour. Are there other display problems (in the other windows)??

yeah, i read what he wrote, if your record level is low, you'll still get the sample but you wont get the wave pattern.

I'm having this same problem. I have my REC GAIN turned up but the pattern looks very small and choppy. But the sample itself plays fine. Yet I wonder if it's recording the sample up to it's full audio potential. All my other screen functions seem to be working fine.
