synching 2k classic to 1000 issue

ive have got my 2000 set to master my 1000 so i can use the 2000s pads to trigger the 1k cause its pads are shit. the issue i have is i want pad 1 on the 2000 to trigger pad 1 (and so on) on the other mpc, but the two machines have dif note numbers assigned to their respective pads. is there away to assign the note numbers of the 2k to match those of the 1000?

go in the program screen in your 2k
and there select Drum1 or whatever you want to use
and manually assign the notes of all pads and banks to match your 1000.

It is boring but you only need to do that once!

Then save the program, so every time you want to do this you will be able to load the program.

The same method can be used to match the MPC's with computer programs
