Is it ok if i hang around here with this set up?
Mpc500
for portability, street performance taking to my mucic collage and so on, yeah i know its far from an mpc 2000 , it in no way colours the sound in a posative way. So to get all i lack from the 500 i copped an
S3000xl
this offers me (almost) everything i'm missing from not having a 2000 including seeing my waveform displayed when choppin, a better lcd size screen n ovcourse that slight vintage warmth to my sound which is subtle to very important, n since the S3000 dont have a sequencer ima sequence on the 500 n play samples via the 500s pads or a my midi keyboard.
I'm asking if its kewl to start hanging round in the 2000 forum kuz i kind of feel my hardware set up is more towards the 2000/2000xl now as the S3000s have the sample engine and are of a simalar (the same) era.
i think maybe id feel i fitted in a bit more here, kuz there aynt really much of a vintage vibe goin on in the 500 forum, its great over there though there great guys but i feel this forums a bit more on my vibe plus yea im rockin an S series thats very much like the 2000 when midi'd up n sequenced via an mpc(even though it aynt a 2000) its pritty much the closest thing to a 2000 that aynt a 2000.
so yea, is that ok guys, am i welcome here?
