about converting sampels to 16,44.1

hello! , well i got all my setup ready ...i just wanna ask you guys how do you convert your sampels in the fastes way?

i tryed to do it on cue bass with the "pool" but somehow the mpc 2000xl dosent read all my samples .... and i did on my setup that it will be converted to 16,44.1 and i also use the mpc editor to map my programs

what are you using? there any other sofwere that does it accept cue bass? or cue bass is the best way? i would be happy to know .....

I think the best way is to sample with the mpc

If you don't want to sample with your sampler, try audacity (free wave editor)..

ya but when you sample to your mpc you doing duble converting....in a case that dont rip from a record i'm talking about regular sampels

so your "cue bass" <-LOL can convert your non 16bit / 44,1kHz samples to 16bit /44,1kHz without converting ?

lol sorry about the cubase thing.....ya it just some of the samples says that the wav is not good .....and also i dont know how to defult it to be mono ....all the files

try a batch converter. wavosaur will work and is free. you can set your target sample rate and bit depth (use 44.1 khz, 16 bit, pcm signed wav). you can also set the channel mode (stereo, mono) as appropriate.

There's a great batch sound file converter that you may be using everyday: iTunes!

Go to preferences, --> general, --> import setting, choose "import using" as WAV. setting custom 44.1 KHz, 16bit, (you can even choose mono or stereo!)

Drag or import the sound files to itunes you want to convert.

List songs by "Date added", then select the files you've just imported to iTunes.

Go to menu "Advanced" menu, then select "Create WAV version." iTunes will create the WAV files.

After the conversion is done, select the new files and export them.

I did it on Mac OS X, but I think the same thing can be done in Windows system.
