so im jus a little puzzled, when you in slice sound screen you can adjust the end margin. preset to "30" on the xl, or at least on mine, but 30 WHAT? and why 30? i been f*ckin around with it, and it aint really a problem, more suttin that jus started buggin me.

on the subject of end margins the manual reads
"...this sets how much samples will be added to at the end of each sample."

is that even english??
???

if anyone can put me out of my misery wud be appreciated. thanx

You've found one of those lines in the manual done on the day the person translating it from japanese to english was off sick, & they tried to use a computer translation program instead ?!?

I've got an original 2000 so don't have the slice feature, but it must be adding just 30 samples to the end of each slice which is such a tiny amount it seems kind of pointless ---- samples here meaning the smallest increment you can edit to.

Does it add 30 samples of silence or 30 samples of the next slice to the previous one? Change it to a larger amount & find out.....

it adds a little end to the sample to make it flow bettter good for samples that ur cutting with a long sustatin, hold. I usally do mines bout 10. that usally works on drums and most melodic samples but u just gotta experiment.
