Can I use my zip drive on and Mpc 2000 xl

I got an mpc 2000 classic...I'm going to New York to record at a studio..The guy says that I don't have to bring my MPc because he got the mpc 2000 xl...My question is...If I bring my zip drive and hook it up with the 2000 xl, will I be able to bring up my songs that I have off the zip disk. Or do I just need to bring my mpc 2000 classic just in case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will probably find he has a zip drive for his XL, in which case all you would need to bring is your zip disk, not the drive as well.

yeah thats what i meant with by sayin zip i shoulda said zip disk.
