Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I'm trying to do some pitch shifting on the mpc and I'm using the tone variable in the params screen, but the sounds always sound a flat when I do that. Is there any other way else to change the pitch on the mpc?

Try the tuning on the 16 Levels function.....?!?! That will be accurately up & down in semitones.

Are you using the scroll wheel on the Tune: amount in the top right corner of the PARAMS window in PROGRAM, or are you using the note variation slider?

I using the tone in the Param screen of the Program section, adjusting it with the wheel.

That is the same way I would tune a sample. I'd normally be playing a note on a keyboard at the same time & match the sample to that.

My MPC isn't on right now & I cannot remember how many increments you scroll through to tune a sample up to the next note. I think it is 12, but if the note still sounds flat just go up a bit further.
