i've just looked through previous posts with the search function... and they provide no solutions for me... i also noticed... some people use 30fps... and some use 25fps... which is correct...
..
.
doesn't matter....now... i give up... on using this over-complicated cubase shiz.... i'll see if i can get the sync with cooledit... thanks to those that tried to help...

you gotta learn how to configure sync no matter what program you use.

in SX hit device -> Sync Setup and set it to send MTC 30fps and MMC on your midi out device on the computer

on the mpc hit shift 9 and set it to receive MTC 30fps and MMC:ON

set both to the same tempo and leave like 2 extra bars at the begining for sync-up.

now when you hit play or rec/play on the mpc it will 'wait' until it gets a start message from SX. this happens when you hit play (or rec *) in SX. try it out, it really isnt that hard and very useful.

oh and about 25 vs 30fps neither is wrong if all you are syncing is the mpc and SX.
it is just a timebase and it alot more relevant if you are syncing to video as you will want to match the framerate it was shot at.

for audio as long as both programs are set to use the same timebase you will be cool.
