error at 0000:D27F ??

i'm still having trouble with my internal zip and my PC. After all said and done, all the reading, still, doesn't work..
When i try to format a disk in my mpc i get this message:
error at 0000:D27F
Does anyone knows how i can fix it?

Did you install the internal zip yourself ?
If so did you set it to MASTER ?

Yes, installed it myself and set to master..
I insert a disk and in the TIPE field i should reac PC but i get ????
Maybe it doens't recognize the format. the funny thing is that my pc does..

Bazoop! Format the disk on the PC and then use it on your MP, it should work then. It does for me. I run a Zip250 in a 2000XL, with a USB Zip100 on my PC running XP, everything works great.

i tryed and it ddidn't work.. tell me this:
I format with that iomega software right?
Put some sounds in it and i get nothing....
I'll try it later and i'll tell you if it worked..

format your disk with windows...not the zip software...also you might want to try out MPCEDITOR or something for format/maintaining your zips.

And back up everything you save, or you'll regret it sooner or later...trust me.

I just had the same error message, it looks like no all the zip drives are compatible with the MPC, I have a couple zip drives that looks exactly the same and both works in the PC but only 1 work in the MPC... weird but true.

maybe I'm wrong, but error like this looks like a trouble with ram memory to me. maybe you guys are right and it's a glitch with zip and mp compatibility, but i suggest you to remove rams (set it to stock 2MB's) and then try again. even if i'm wrong it's good to check

The MPC editor has a fuction that stops your computer from leaving a "tag" on it. PC's do this to easily recognize them when inserted, all removable media. Use the utility. It is a regestry edit program, and it just kills the auto-tag windows makes for media. Then try to reformat your zip disk. if pc does not recognize it, then scrap the disk, at least for mpc use. Some zip disks dont work with mpc's, that is a known fact. I suggest you upgrade to cf reader, or try external zip drive. Also you can ruin your zip drive like that too. Good Luck!
