quick 8 outs question

when using the 8 outs, you have to chose between the 8 outs or the basic main outs right? you cant just send one track through say number 1 of the 8 outs and then use the "main outs" for the other 7 can you? ive been messing around recently a little bit with my 8 outs and am a bit confused at this.

any help would be great, sorry for the stupid question.

No you can use the both at the same time. You actually have 10 outs in total. You can use the PAN controls to make the MAIN outs into two mono ones if required.

if you don't want a sound to go to the main mix, turn down its volume in the mixer.
