Can i replace my mpc 2k output board with the mpc 3k (s3000)

Silly question :

My output board on my MPC 2k has gone ... Do you think i can replace my mpc 2k output board with the mpc 3k (s3000) ?

I wouldnt have thought so....ie that s3000 or mpc3k parts go in thempc2k.....youre probably better checking out the s2000...the 8 outs from that work in the mpc2k....and they go for next to nothing nowadays

Well i was thinking of using the the s3000 rack outputs It might also give the mpc2k a different sound ?

i believe not only the components, but the actual software used in samplers, goes to determining the sound produced....

Use the S3000 in my opinion. It's great. The envelope generators are really easy to use, dare I say better than my EMU 6400 Ultra

Much as a hate to say it i think the s3000 rack is better to ..
