Lampdog help me please!!!? ADEUMD4 IDE digidrive pro NOT wor

Can you break this down for me please M8? "Never open the MPC with no card or no floppy in it!"

Update: Bought new floppy drive and didnt work just same clicking sound as the original and in fact it started smoking...the floppy drive that is....now I have no way of grabbing any os version from my computer via scsi zip or floppy. PLUS I do not have an external floppy drive anyway!!

I have had the worst 3 weeks ever with this CF BS.

I think I will return it and maybe upgrade to a 2500 (maybe) cos right now i don't know what my options are.

It means never to power ON the mpc
with no CF card or floppy.

Apparently it is not the floppy system mate but the mpc part.
Make sure you make the connections to the right places with the cables and all
make sure no connections are loose
and that the cables you switched/altered are not touching anything else or whatever.

No worries the idea is to help as much as possible (and reasonable )

Where did you buy it from?

I brought it from Addonics (U.S.) who do not have a clue themselves! (did you see the pic? I take you may have?)

No Floppy disk or drive etc? Do you mean something is now busted?
OMG!!! I can feel panic settling in...mpc part man this is getting worse!!!!

Wires? Sorted!
Connections? As far as I can see? Sorted

I do consider myself to be quite thorough but you know sometimes you can miss these things but man i swear I been checking everything for three weeks!!!

Dont panic...

I though you meant the MPC was to return.
Try to PM a guy in the boards
scsiforsamplers is his name.

He is a good chap and hopefully can help you
though he sells and knows about his own stuff
but you never know.

Also open it up and get a close-up picture of your thing
both on how you connect the floppy and CF drive
so we can see whats happening

Hey guys just to keep you in the loop for those interested, I managed to get the card working in the end. All that talk about staying on 1.14 is utter crap. As soon as was able to sort out my zip disk I loaded 1.20 and voila all is gravy baby. And even though none of the advice you gave was relevant to me I wanna thank Korni for taking the time out to see about what it was I was paining about!!! So, thanks Korni! But to the other people that peep my message without helping me... I say the Most High Bless you same way!
