BPM readout

how to get a bpm readout of a detuned sample?

I know how to get the accurate bpm of a loop but let say you choose to detune it a bit... how to know the exact bpm?

record the sample to 1 or 2 bars and let it loop and speed or slow BPM until you get the speed to which the sample fits correctly. Pretty basic
