mpc self refurb

i am about to open up ,y mpc for good cleaning and looking to also refurbish it. I need an lcd screen which i plan to order ASAP. I know I need some of those clear led light covers on the inside, a power button on the back all of which i will get from mpc stuff. My concern is properly cleaning the mpc...also my 8 outs create static on channels/lines 5/6, i opened her up to ensure that the cable was secure and it was, still the static problem. when i go back in there, what else should i be looking for? and what should I clean my mpc with?

Have you tried Deoxit on you 8-outs?

I used it on my 1K's buttons, like new. Maybe it will help out the static as well.
I have the D-series one.

Will that spray clean all the buttons on the 2000xl aswell as the 8-outs ?
