Can the 2000XL handle CF cards faster than 133x Speed??

Yo peeps, I have a Lexar 1GB 133x Speed card working on my XL, was looking to upgrade the card to a larger one, there's plenty of 200x Speed cards on eBay, was wondering if they'd work? I'm using the Addonics IDE to CF converter card reader.

Also, was thinking on getting a 16GB card and splitting it in to 1GB partitions, would that work with this reader or would you have to have a SCSI reader?

On this reader, your 16GB card will be formatted down to 1GB. You need to stick with 1GB cards or find a scsi card reader.

The 16 GB card I have was specially formatted by scsiforsamplers.com and they are out of business. I think JD still lurks, and might have an idea for you, but I dont know what his username is.
