MPCstuff new screen freezes

I just bought a 2000 and the screen was filled with dead pixel lines, I purchased the new screen and now it freezes on me after 5 to 10 minutes of playing. Its just the screen freezing not the machine because I can flip to sample and hear the input, switch to trim and hear the cutoff sample.

I tried cleaning the Ram sticks and plugs, using a different power supply, letting the MPC sit on for a bit. nothing works.

Any Ideas? or should I just try to work with the old screen?

Man, they told me it shouldn't do that. BUT IT DOES!!!!! AND DAMN OFTEN!!!! A few steps I do....

1st, get a pdf of the manual and pull it up. I don't do this step because I just know my way around the machine......

2nd, (hopefully you have a scsi drive of some kind) shift 3 and get into your disk screen... Just have to trust its there...

3rd, refer to the pdf and follow the f key steps for saving.

4th, lable a disk pre recs and just save it, then restart your machine. Reload it and keep it movin'.

They told me the lag was all I had to worry about. YEAH RIGHT.... But, its waaaaaaayyyyyy better than a screen full of lines...

Also, if you've got a scsi hd, turn it off (unless you boot from it) until you restart the unit. Then turn it on and go.. That helped me. Now it only does it like every 2 weeks... LOL
