Loose record gain and volume knobs

Both my volume and record gain volume knobs are equally loose. They both move and wiggle a bit when I move either of them.

Can anyone tell me how to tighten them up and get rid of the wiggling? I just took the mpc apart to install the 8 outs but while the machine was open i couldn't see any access point or screws that coincided with the volume and record knobs...is it under the mother board? Or is it on the top of the machine where the buttons are?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Since you've installed the 8outs I guess you opened up the bottom of the 2000xl. From there you can't see the screwnuts which hold the knobs/potentiometer.
You'll have to open up the upper case. Here is how to do this.

then pull off the knobs, allign the potentiometer and tighten the nutscrews. (There is probably a small hole in the plate and a "nose" on the potentiometer to make sure its alligned correct.)
