In the manual turn to page 137 there is explained how to access and edit the different fx settings.

yeah basically, i'm not sure exactly cause i've been usin the 4000, but it's in the mixer page. Hit shift mixer. One of the menus on the bottom should say fx edit and another should say fx send. First just hit fx send. It will show you a screen similar to the mixer screen. Hit a pad and go to the highlighted line for that sound. Then go to the top and it will let you scroll between like m1 and m2 and somethin else. then cursor back down and scroll to add that particular effect. keep hitting the pad to hear the difference.
