Can't select paramaters in Timestretch Window?

I recently picked up a 2000xl and am having an issue getting the cursor to select certain parameters in a few windows. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

For example, in the Timestretch window, I cannot select the ratio or change the presets.

In the slice window I cannot get to End Margin: or Create New Program option

Other windows navigate just fine.

usually this just means its not applicable in this particular case.
for example - if you already have 24 programs in memory, it probably wouldn't let you select new program in slice.

that is just a guess. as for the timestretch - maybe the file is too small / large or something?

its not the most informative machine when it does that stuff, that's for sure.

yeah another example is when you have loop turned on for a pad.. you cant change in params for the pad to go away from note off.
