mixer problem

im haven this problem.ive got the 8outs right.ive got out 1 hooked up to my mixer..so what i do is assaign samples to out 1 so if like i want i can boost the volume up if its low or whatever,but the thing is when i record the beat to my software the sample that i assign to the out 1 fades in out,like the volume is high then low etc.Wahts the problem?

you got the 8outs hooked up to ur mixer right.. or just 1 out?? if just 1 why do u have the 8outs for then???
does your mixer have busses?? what kinda soundcard do you have??
.... after analyzin your problem i would say check the cable your using and make sure its mono and not a stereo one.. you can tell cause a stereo has 2 lines at the tip of the plug and a mono only has 1... i think this might be it.. hope this helps and be more precise when askin questions..
