MC-2000xl Media Card Reader Issue

I recently bought an MC-2kxl Media Card Reader for my MPC 2kxl to replace my zip drive which has never worked. The website I bought it from

said that it works with both OS 1.14 and OS 1.20, but when it came in the mail it, the instructions say that it will only work with 1.20. I don't have a way to install 1.20 because of the broken zip drive. Now I'm stuck and I don't know what to do.
Any advice?

That's false advertising since on their website it states you can use OS v1.14 but now you say you can only use OS v1.2 with it. Call Big Noise and call them out on that BS!

Can you confirm it DOES NOT work on OS version 1.14? You may be able to install everything and then do the upgrade.

Or you can buy or borrow a PC floppy drive and upgrade the OS that way. The OS file is free to download from Akai

My local computer recycle shop/warehouse litterally has buckets and buckets of older internal & external zip/floppy/cd drives etc for a few bucks, a small store might offer a better price even. I suggest trying to go that route if it truley dosnt work with your current OS, but I would definitely try to contact where you bought it from considering your in a spot due to thier "zeal".
