ZIP problems. Help!

A particular ZIP disk won't let me load my sequences. I can see it in my folders, but when I go to open it it clicks and goes to the "Root" folder. I can load APS and sounds or whatever, but no sequences, either all or individual. So I used a brand new zip disk to create new folders for sequences and drum kits. I managed to save some kits and sequences to their respective folders. But now this disk has malfunctioned also as I try to save or load from the disk. The zip drive makes this "harsh" clicking noise and then I get a disk error message. Now it won't let me save anything either. So I'm thinking it has to be my zip drive now. So I unplugged the drive, let it sit unplugged overnight and tried to load disk the next dayl and got the same problems.

So what I'm going to do is take my 2000XL over my friends hows and hook up his 250mb zip drive to my XL and see if I can load my 100mb disk. My question is if I should be able to load from my 100mb disk using the 250mb drive without having to format anything? Can I just hook the drive up via scsi and attempt to load the disk?

well my floppy drive used to make the same clicking noise. i thought it was my drive. it turned out to be the OS on the disk. i was gettin the same error. i had saved a sequene on my floppy cause my zip was full and it wouldnt let me load. kept gettin the error.

so i downloaded the os onto my floppy and it fixed the problem. maybe its your os?

but other then that im not sure. i use the 2000 by the way
