Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

In the Timestretch section of the manual under "Ratio" it says, "Enter the ratio of timestretch here-between 50%(twice the speed) and 200%(half the speed). 100% being the original speed".

Is that right or do they have the percentages mixed-up?

I would think 50% would be half the speed and not twice the speed while 200% would be twice the speed and not half the speed.

I don't know, the math in the manual doesn't make sense to me...but I suck at match so I might just be wrong on this.

Apologies if this has already been covered, but holla with your thoughts...is the manual wrong here?

50 % would be half the LENGTH but twice the speed (tempo).
200% is twice the length, but half the speed (tempo).

if u have the 2kxl which u must to be able to timestretch there is a BPM mode which will stretch it to the desired tempo. I think lampdog has a link in his sig to a timestretch calculator that will help u fig out the right numbers for the %'s
