How to purge?????

okay this probably belongs in the mentally impaired section of the forum but i'm a lazy dude so here you go......

when i have a beat loaded up and i want to load another beat off of the same disk or a different disk...is there a way to purge the memory so the beat i'm trying to load doesn't get all **** up with the original beat i had loaded?

ussually i just cut the power off and on to do it....but theres probably a better way?

just delete all programs, then delete all sequences and songs. then when you load another beat just purge all the unused sounds

You don't even have to erase the other beat.....what you need to do is....everytime you make a beat and your finished with it and you want to save it, save it as a PGM. file.....This is basically one program....but make sure you name your programs....When you want to save it, go to "Save a program and sounds"...then save your program you worked with.....then save your sequences of course...."all sequences" is fine because at load up, you can load one at a time....

So now, when you have a program and beat on your MPC, and you want to bring up another one, go to load, PGM. and select your file, press "load" and it will add it to your existing program...then you just have to go and tell it what drum number you want it on...then load your other sequences and bamm,you have two entirely different beats....assuming you have the memory of course.....
