i've got a brand new (blue) mpc2000xl , which was bought to replace an older one that was stolen. I had the people who replaced it for me (the owners of the studio that it was stolen from) also replace the 32 megs of ram I had. I am now getting "NOT ENOUGH MEMORY" messages when I try and load my mpc-tutor breaks and bass patches....I have always been able to load these patches, even when I only had 18 in my last mpc...
I am thinking that they may have used bad (or old) ram sims when they got me my new mpc (they put it all together, didnt give me anything in the package) How can I test this? They are both plugged in right, if I take one out and can load sounds, will this mean that I have removed the bad one? How much/what kind of ram should I get to replace this?
