If anyone could so kindly send me their CF card data so i can transfer it directly onto mine i would be greatly appreciative.

Tried nearly everything to get this card reader working and no luck. Yes its on master, Yes everything is correct. Im just trying to think out of the box.

If you have a CF to USB - Just copy the files in it (dont have to include your stash) And send it to
[email protected]

Thanks.

What make/model is the card reader?

What make/model is the CF card?

What cables are you using to hook it up?

Are you sure the cables are correctly oriented?

I doubt an image of a CF card is going to help, if your MPC can't format the CF itself.

Picked it up from MPC stuff about 2 years ago. Theyve change the brand that they use, and at the time i wasnt interested in the MPC(was my dads rig) so of course they wont give me the re-issue. The first card they sent didnt work. My dad is a dumb ass for not doing anything about it. Now im trying to use it and i wanna punch someone.

Model - Im not sure but the faceplate reads CF. l/ll
Inside reads ATA-IDE - v7.2(that might be the issue)
First CF card i dont know what it was
Recent CF card = Transcend industrial x80 1gb
The cables that came with the MPC stuff order (1 different colored strip on the wide cable)
Power cable connected to the floppy Power cable.
The reader powers up
I am on Os 1.2

What happens when you try to format the CF card in the MPC?

Can you scroll through and select ATAPI or IDE from the list of devices when you go into the format screen?

There isn't any special files on a CF card to send you, nothing to copy off, it is just a formatted disk drive, the most someone could do would be to send you a disk image, or something similar, of a formatted CF card, but not sure that will get you anywhere if your MPC can't format and work with a CF card anyway.

Is the wide ribbon cable oriented so that pin 1 on the CF reader is attached to pin 1 on the MPC IDE/ATAPI connector (at the rear of the connector in the MPC)?
