No Sounds

What up MPC fam,
Im a little nervous about the mpc. I just got finished loading up a zip disk and went to the play it. But there were no sounds coming out!. I checked the trim screen just to make sure that the sounds had loaded, and all of the wave forms are ther, but no sounds. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time in advanced.

Assign sounds to pads. Check the XL manual.

Thanks for the help Lamp, but I have never had to assign them before. Usually I just load up the zip and Im ready to go. But Im gonna check out the manual and see whats poppin. If you have any other suggestions, Im open

116 is the exact pg your probably looking for - assigning note to pads.

I understand what you are saying about loading the sounds. But I am loading programs so the sounds are already assigned to a pad. I had the cable running from the Headphones out to my mixer. I have the eight outs so I ran the cable from there to my mixer and now I have sounds. So I guess the headphone jack must be bad. I don't know

yeah, try your main outs..

maybe your sounds are assigned to indiv outputs.. and not the stereo outs.
