how do i load in my newly timestreched sound??????

the problem is that when i have sampled a sound and trimmed it, i go to timestrech it. however, i can not change the timestrached beat on the pad where i have assigned the original sample. i dont get why this doesnt change automatically like when u reverse a sound. then it does change it automatically for u on the pad u have assigned the sound to. so can anyone help me wit this? cause im lost and cant continue...its getting frustrating...

When you timestretch, the xl will create a new sound. It will also tell you the name of the new sound. So once it's done, go into the PROGRAM screen and assign the new, timestretched sound to a empty pad by hitting the pad you want to assign it to, and then highlighting the SND field (i think it's "snd") and using the jog wheel to select the sound you want to assign, scroll to the end where you should find the new sound.
