MPC 2000XL Case not sitting right

I took the case cover off of the 2000xl to install some new pads and when i put the case back in all the screws are in the right place but i seems like the function buttons at top under the screen dont seem to stick out as much as they did before. Is there some special way to put the case back on cause the buttons seem kinda shallow now or something thanks.

just remove it and try again - something sounds like it got unseated / moved around.

unless you bent the case, i bet part of it is just sitting on something that got moved.

Take your time, make sure screws are flat, ribbon cables are clear and everything is seated properly inside.

The screw mounted cable tie over the ribbon that connects the child control board is not sat correctly

There is a cable top right of control PCb

This cable is held by a black cable grip

Loosening the middle screw at the back will lower the raised area of the case
