Hi,
I have got problems with my "new" Iomega Zip100 Plus Drive, which supports Scsi and Parallel Port, any hint would be great:
1) I bought the "DB25 male to HD50 male" SCSI cable discribed on mpc2000xl.com
2) on the backside of the zip-plus drive are 2 ports:
one labeled "AutoDetect", a 25 pin male port and the other one a 25 pin female port in which the external cable fits in.
My first problem is: Whats the "AutoDetect" port where the external cable doesnt fit in? This Port is used when connecting the drive with a computer, but its a male port, the same like on the external cable.
The other port, seems for both scsi or parallel port, is ok, the cable fits. (or is it for parallelport only!?)
Scsi ID is on 5, I think the MPC ID is 6 default (?)
Whats about termination, the MPC manual says the MPC has got a built in termination, whats with the termination in the zipplus-drive?
When I go to the Disk-Screen and choose "Format" and choose "Scsi" under Device, the MPC doesnt detect the Zip-Drive whether what ID I choose.
Anybody experiences with a Iomega Zip-Plus drive?
ciao...
