External Zip Drive

I just got a 2000XL and it came with a 100MB external zip drive. Ive never worked with a zip drive and have a few problems.
My computer doesnt have a zip drive so how do i get samples from my computer onto a zip disk.
Also i tried connecting the zip drive to the MPC but it says it hasnt been connected. Im not sure if there may be a fault with the drive because the disks are getting stcuk in there.

Well you may not have the right cable to connect the drive to your MPC.

And you may want to get another drive just for your comp, if you're going to be pulling sounds off of it frequently. Or if your comp is close enough to your mp, you couls just sample the sounds in. I'm sure I'm prob. going about this the real hard way, but that's just how I've done it...
