Insert MPC2000XL disk__!

hold REC + OVER DUB key and power on(2 reds + black on the back) and the XL sisplays the message: Insert MPC2000XL disk ! ....Theres no FDD or ZIP in mine...and i dont know what its searching for etiher...

Its not a problem, okay...(I have no problem with mine)... this is some kind of a service mode or something...

That particular boot sequence forces to the MPC to load the OS from the disk as opposed to the flash memory. This allows us hackers to quickly check our mods to the OS without burning out the flash memory with UNNECESSARY OS RELOADS.

^ if there's any way you could mod the 2000xl OS so you can set up mute groups rather than individual mute assigns that'd be fantastic. thanks! 8)
