FX Expansion board

sup fellaz. I was wondering if i should get that FX board. whats on it. is it really worth it. i tried looking on enternet store sites but they dont say much about it. Peace.

I dont understand how asking a question can turn out to be not takin seriously. thats like if you cats go to a professional studio and ask a question, then the engineer says somethin like, "come on dude are you serious" then you sit there and look silly. if the questions asked were answered, then why not direct me or whos ever asking a question to that thread. if yall gone make problems even worse THEN DON'T RESPOND AT ALL!!!!

I think this happens because there is ALREADY a big amount of discussion on this very card and some people just don't wanna keep going over the same thing over and over when, if, the inquirer uses the search function some/alot of this info would have been pulled up already.

I myself have answered this question many times so I know how Bravo feels and I also know how you feel but please use the search function thoroughly my friend, the answers and info are there for you.

I had no internet back in 94 when I was a noob so you have it WAY easier than me, please be nice.

Im cool lamp but you know its just a lil frustrating for a rookie trying to make sure we got full insight on gear that we spend thousands of hard earned bucks on. Peace.

Me, I read books, used the internet search ALOT before I got purchased my triton and MPC. I went on faith via a friend's testimony when i bought my ASR10.

You are lucky to have internet and serach functions. Yo, I had NOTHING.

Have you looked up the specs on it at all? Download the 2kxl manual and go to pg. 137. It shows you the actuall pages and screens that are on the card and what's in it.

Thanks for your help lamp. HEy lamp do you prefer sampling on you MPC or TRITON to be better for you. I just got a Motif ES and at first i was thinking why purchase memory to sample for motif when i have a MPC, but i what a DVD manual on the Motif and come to find out the SAMPLER on it is a BEAST! DOes some nice stuff but i haven't tried it myself yet, just wana know how you feel about your gear setup. Peace.

Sampling is more tedious on the Triton to me so I tend to sample in my MPC every now and then. Usually though I just grab stuff from CD's via Sound Forge and chop from there. I have little need SAMPLE anything. Internet, CD's, DVD's all get chopped up in my pc. The line ins on my Triton and MPC are like a novelty to me, they prolly still have the new car smell to them.

THats kool. i think you posted something in another thread, but when i edit in sound forge, then put that sound in my mpc via Zip, it sounds bad, nothing like it sounded on the pc. my kicks and all just sound really flat when they sounded punchy while editing them on the pc. Maybe its just me ans remedial having that problem, but when i sample straight to the mpc it sounds good. Thanks again lamp.
