Just replaced a couple tact switches but im noticing that random buttons are on like "rec, over dub,pad banks a and d" I tried desoldering slider post but solder gun broke. Only got bottom half of slider posts unsoldered before heating element on gun gave out. Could the broken slider with some posts still soldered to board be triggering other buttons or fouling up the system some how? Has anyone had this issue before? Everything else functions..Buying a new soldering gun today to remove slider and see what the deal is :hmmm:

AhaAA! So it was the half unsoldered "note variation" slider that was causing the other buttons to light up. Got all tact switches snd new slider installed and soldered but still "f1 and number 9" buttons will not function and also pad sensor are not all working..? wtf..?Any idea what could be the problem?Im just a beginner on soldering but all other tacts i soldered on are working? All pads were functioning a long time ago when i was using it last.

i figured ahh gonna need new "pad sensors" but after looking at the connector that connects pad sensor ribbons to"top pcb board" i can see that some of the little metal prongs are smashed down to far from connecting locking clip incorrectly many years ago. So now i need to find the connector for top pcb bpard that clips ribbon in place. What would be a quick soldering fix if i could find the part.Any clues here? Id hate to have to buy a whole new top pcb board for just a couple quick soldering dings....
