MPC 2000xl stopped reading my cf cards all of a sudden

I have the cf kit from MPCstuff.com, 1.2 os and a 2g Sandisk cf card formatted to the mpc. I was making a instrumental the other day saved came back to work on it to day and when i went to load it my mpc said you need to update your os for this card or something similar to that, so i restarted it and when i turned it back on to retry it couldn't even read the cf. I tried to format another 2g sandisk and the my mpc gave me a error 0000:D27F and i can not figure it out. can someone help me out

This is a problem with the drive type and from time to time they can cause problems with your Mpc.
What is is displayed on your Mpc when you check os ver?

Often reinstallation of os ver 1.2 will solve the problem, but it is not uncommon for the drive to completely Fail.

I have a similar problem, I have a 1gig SD card that is not reading on my mpc. Is there a way to get the data off the SD card on to another card so I can get my beats back? It is a off brand card and the card when loaded onto the mpc gives me "disk read error" or just comes blank.

I am desperate to retrieve my beats off here!

If its the same drive, it should just be the drive.

Try plugging the card into a computer as a removable drive (via USB reader or similar)
