MPC 2000 & XP-30 combo help

I posted this question last week and no one responded. Does anyone know? Here is the question again.

Can someone please explain how to save the patches that I use on the XP, on the MPC so that everytime I recall a song I dont have to manually dial each patch on the XP (for each track). Is this possible? Please help. dont have much synth experience. Thanks.

go to the step edit screen, then on your xp, press the pach select buttons for the patch you are on, that will record the midi and when you play the sequence it will tell the xp to load that patch.

That;s the basis, I don't have an xp, so you may have to futz around with it to get it to transmit the patch change.

You can also do this in record mode, but best to do it at the begining of the seq.
