putting wav's on a cd rom

i have downloaded a bunch of wav files from the internet and i want to save them to a cd to use as a library of drum sounds for my mpc2000xl. i can't seem to figure out how to save the samples onto a cd. i've tried dragging the files onto the disk in "my computer" but it says the disk is inaccesible. do i need to format the disk? how do i do that?

what operating system do you have on your computer?

im trying to figure this out for a buddy of mine that just copped a used 2000xl yesterday, i found this post while using the search function.... if i find something informative about this topic, il try and post a link or something in this thread... im trying to burn a cd-rom full of .wav files so i can load them into the 2000xl via a scsi cd-rom drive... im wondering if the only way to do it is to use the mpc editor???

it is the same as if it where a zip disk. just use a burning app and your done.

I have a SCSI CDROM and have done this plenty of times.
I use Nero 6601. My settings are:
DATA CD, ISO 9660, level 1, DAO.

It has never failed me.

yea i think it worked, i burned my friend the cd and he was able to load them... thanks alot yall...
