WTF?! MPC doesn't work anymore

Hi there!

I just bought an 8 out on ebay, put it in my MPC - connection to p340...
then turned it on...only the "wait" display showed up. Then i turned the connector 180° and the MPC started as usual.
BUT:
- no more output signal
- input signal freezes and sounds totally distorted
- none of the pads reacts
- 16 levels button doesn't work as well

I already pulled the 8 out card off, reinstalled OS 1.20, but no changes...any suggestions? Or can I throw it out the window?

That is weird.
If nothing responds anymore, maybe you didn't reconnect the small flat cable coming from under the pads to the main board?

I've installed several 8 out on different MPCs and it's quite straight forward.

If everything is well connected and you still have the problem, maybe your 8 out board is faulty...

Please post a picture showing how you have the cables plugged into the motherboard as well as a picture of the cable attacked to the 8-output expansion.

Also make sure the voltage regulator that is installed on the 8-output board is not twisted and shorting out.

The majority of the cables for the 8-output expansions are keyed so they should only be able to be installed in one direction. Curious to how you are able to reverse it.
