MPC 2000xl Note Slider Midi

Hey guys, the note variation slider on my mpc 2000xl is busted so i wanna use my microkorg's mod wheel to control the slider in its place. How can i do that?

Shift-After(Assign), Assign NV slider to ctrl change:1

and then how do i get it to sync to the mod wheel?

MPC Stuff has the slider dirt cheap just replace it and be done.

The mod wheel should be sending out a MIDI control change number 1 message, you shouldn't have to do anything, the setting above makes the NV slider respond to that MIDI CC #1 message.
