Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone here knows how to change the bar count after you have recorded with a previous bar count number? I have a sequence at 4 bars but there is a sound I want to repeat at every 8 bars, so how do I change it to 8 bars. The obvious way puts 4blank measures behind the 4 current measures then loops?
thanx

you could copy each track of the seq. and insert after the 4th bar to make it eight.
or you could make it into a song, make it a total of eight bars long(the one 4 bar loop played twice), then convert it into a seq. and you won't have to copy each individul track cause it'll be done in the convert.

I hope that's not to confusing, Pe@Ce

thanx man I will try that. I assume the manual will show me how to put it into a song and then convert it into a sequence?

yeah I don't have it in front of me but it should be under songs, then it's just a f key (maybe f3) that says convrt.
Sorry I'm at work so I don't have the MP here either.

Hope this helps.

Or you could go into the edit screen. Got to bars and insert it from there. I dont know if this helps. Not very clear, but it would be in the owners manual.
